Leslie's cheerful, tireless ambition in the face of cynics is echoed by series creators Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, who previously gave us "The Office." And who can blame them? Few industry observers thought "Parks," which launched as a midseason replacement last spring, would survive even this long. First, there were production delays to accommodate Poehler's pregnancy. Then there were the early test screenings and poor scores that landed on the desk of influential ...

Cave-in on managing the money managers
a far-reaching financial regulatory overhaul, and regulators vowed to limit less-than-obvious marketing fees that you and I pay each time we invest in a mutual fund. These developments are quite a coincidence, given what I was up to while this column was dark. But more on that in a moment. First, the financial reform. One thing we know: It is sweeping -- 2,300 pages covering banking, investments, lending, credit scores and consumer protections. It creates a 10-person oversight council on financial stability and a new consumer protection agency. It permanently increases bank deposit insurance to $250,000 and gives you -- on ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
