I am a server at a restaurant in NC. I noticed on my paystub my payrate was reduced from $3.13 to $2.13 per hour. The entire waitstaff was also affected. I understand $2.13 in min. wage for a server, but can my owners lower my payrate without notice or my knowledge? Answer Was this maybe a computer error? I would ask management about it, perhaps it is simply a payroll error and can be corrected.
