NAHRMA Report to WFPMA - May 2006
The Canadian economy maintained its robust growth in 2005. Similarly to 2004, the real GDP rose by 2.9%. All signs indicate that, in general, the economy is adjusting well to the challenges raised by the appreciation of the Canadian dollar. This strength was supported by steady increases in domestic demand. The outlook for 2006 appears to be just as promising. Private-sector forecasters estimate an increase of 3.0% in the real GDP in 2006, placing Canada in an enviable position in relation to the rest of the world. I can answer questions related to employment, leadership development and Human Resources Management in private-sector organizations in BC or in Canada. I can provide general advice to either employers or employees, but cannot provide advice meant to replace the counsel of an employment lawyer, immigration lawyer or immigration consultant. I will not answer homework questions because I believe the value of the homework is in doing it, not in the final product! I am happy to answer questions that are related to human resources but I would prefer not to answer questions about HR degrees or programs of study as this can be done ...
What is the best way to find and evaluate event planners in a city ...
I would usually use a PR/event planning agency that has global affilation that I know of. Not always works, as the global affiliation does not ensure quality - but sometimes it is a start. Also - try to look on the net for the main conferences run in the place - look on the conference site for who is handling it. For example, look for national IT or pharmaceutical events. Usually, a company that can run such conferences would be of a quality that would satisfy your needs. Then you can of course bid and ask to see their other work. posted July 18, 2007 steve AT alchetec DOT com Sales/Acct. Mgr. at Alchetec see all my answers If ...
