2009 – Mediterranean & Black Sea - MS Prinsendam
Remember, only read paragraphs in itlaics if you have a thick enough skin not to be offended by a non-PC attitude. I am not now, and never will be, politically correct. To me, honesty and forthrightness are much more important than being sensitive to every thin skinned knothead I might encounter. March 8 – TX to Daphne, Alabama. We got off to a fair start today. The only snag was that, with all the preparations to leave, we forgot to ‘Spring Forward’ so instead of getting up at 8AM we actually got up at 9AM. It did give us an extra hour of sleep though so that was good. We hadn’t picked up any books on ... market research, surveys and trends

Mass Customization & Open Innovation News: Research Studies
Most mass customization businesses are still rather small. Really small, if we compare their sales and volumes with the comparable category of standard products (I am just talking about consumer goods here, for industrial / BtoB-goods, this is a very different story!). This holds true for most start-ups and companies dedicated solely on mass customization, and the MC units of large established players. While I do not believe that mass customization at any time will overtake mass produced (or better: high variety, build to stock) assortments, many MC businesses today face the demand to scale their business up. This also is a main ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
February 2007 - Canadian Magazines Blog
The National Union of Journalists in Great Britain has called for a government investigation into the exploitation of people on "work experience" in the British media; this is what we tend to call "internships" here. According to a story in the Guardian , Jeremy Dear, the NUJ general secretary, said the union had collected evidence that "some very big names" in the media sector were in breach of minimum wage law. Mr Dear today delivered a letter to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs naming and shaming employers which the union claims exploit journalists on work experience and discussed the issue ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Amusement park 'Physics Day' lets future scientists play, learn
Nearly 6,000 elementary, middle school and high school students flooded Lagoon Amusement Park near Salt Lake City to experience real-life physics, science and engineering. Students dropped eggs from the sky, displayed their designs for new theme park rides, measured acceleration on roller-coasters and put robots they had built themselves to the test. "Robot number eight, robot number eight!" shouted elementary students in bright yellow T-shirts. Surrounding a small, white, wooden maze on the floor of the pavilion, they chanted louder as a shoe-box-sized Lego robot progressed past another obstacle. Students worked for ... technology research, surveys study and trend statistics

I am doing an interesting research on illness and hospitalized children. I would like to know what kinds of activities, such as play or appropriate toys, do the medical experts usually use for providing emotional needs of the hospitalized child in between age 3-12. And how these activities will be adapted for the child with limitations, such as bedrest, restraints? 5 examples should be enough. Greetings! I found many interesting examples from professionals as well as a first-person point-of-view in an article about a toy store owner who was bedridden with polio when he was young. A portion of the article: "He traces his ...

I just unearthed an old computer running Windows ME to play old games on, like DOOM, DUKE NUKEM 3d and Shadow Warrior. I am trying to save space though.
