QUESTION: I work in the healthcare industry in the business office for a hospital system(north carolina) and my employer is requiring mandatory overtime 5-10 hrs a week. example if i take off monday & tuesday i am still required to work the overtime hours by the end of the week. If I make up that time they still take out 16 hrs of pto instead of putting the hours back into my mon-tues bucket. Are they allowed legally to do this?
