This paper assesses the macroeconomic implications of scaling up aid for Benin in line with the Gleneagles commitment to double aid to poor countries over the next three years to reach $85 per capita by 2010 and keep it at that level thereafter. The analysis suggests that the additional aid inflows can be accommodated under Fund-supported programs without major disruptions to macroeconomic stability, provided the inflows are highly concessional and used effectively. There are, however, significant risks that the impact on growth and poverty reduction of the additional aid inflows could fall short of expectations, given ...

Altruistic Soul Vs. Selfish Ego
According to mystical and spiritual traditions each human being is a multidimensional being. We are not just the physical body or ego/personality but a composite of various energy bodies such as etheric, emotional and mental. These energetic bodies all have their own patterns and distinct characteristics and it is up to the individual to dismantle the layers of each body in search of understanding of his or her true nature. When these various bodies are in alignment then soul integration is made manifest. If the ego/personality refuses integration -- if the various bodies do not achieve equilibrium -- then it remains separate ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Graphene Grows Up
Nanoscale carbon has been making headlines for more than two decades. Whether furled up in carbon nanotubes or assembled into cagelike fullerenes, carbon at the atomic scale shows great potential in everything from photovoltaics to ultra-strong composite materials. Now, graphene -- thin, planar sheets of carbon -- promises to advance photonics with improved detectors, display circuitry, and even emitters. Graphene is a semi-metal that consists of a hexagonal lattice of carbon atoms, typically in a single atomic layer. It interacts very strongly with light, absorbing approximately 2.3% of incident photons at any wavelength. This ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
WikiAnswers - Does rim or tire size change mileage
To the person who said MPG goes down with larger tires. That may be, but it has nothing to do with your answer, which said larger tires are heavier, and more to do with how the car is driven and engine power curves. A larger tire size is going to add at best a few ounces to the weight of the tire. In fact, the lead balancing weights might make more of a difference in tire weight. A few ounces on a 3,000 car makes no difference. The power to start a vehicle from a dead start would be affected by tire size, but not due to tire weight. This whole concept is demonstrated by the fact that vehicles need a transmission. (If the car ...
