Bonuses to state employees down in '09
The number of employees who received one-time payments in addition to their regular pay dropped from 930 in calendar year 2008 to 260 in 2009. The amount of those payments fell from just under $1.48 million in 2008 to $273,581 in 2009, according to information provided by the Montana Department of Administration .      The drop can largely be attributed to the fact that the Montana State Fund did not meet goals that would have triggered an incentive program for workers. The Fund is a quasi-independent agency formed by the legislature in 1990 to provide workers’ compensation insurance to employers in the state.      In 2008 ... market research, surveys and trends
