Michael Moore has done it again, only this time he's coming out strong against the most pervasive evil in the United States: capitalism. Moore serves to moviegoers a searing critique of capitalism that is well needed during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression . On Thursday, Oct. 1, a supportive crowd of 200 progressives and activists came to one of the many locations in Chicago showing Capitalism: A Love Story . The special showings benefited United Electrical Union Local 1110, the same local that carried out the historic Republic Windows and Doors factory occupation this past December. When workers rights are under attack – Stand Up, Fight Back ...
Protest outside the National Party conference  at Sky City Hotel (Main entrance 72 Victoria Street West, Auckland City) on Sunday 18th July 10am The National Government has just announced a number of significant changes to the Employment Relations Act. There are five major changes: 1: The 90 day legislation will be extended to workplaces with less than 50 staff, and probably to all workplaces soon afterwards. These laws let the boss fire you for whatever reason he likes in the first 90 days, and you can’t take out a personal grievance. Basically, you can get fired for nothing and there’s nothing you can do. 2: The right of ... market research, surveys and trends
I Hate Jill Zarin Real Housewives Fight Back NJ July 20, 2010 ...
Oh Teresa, I can certainly see now why you were so critical of Bethenny when she lost her baby weight so quickly and why you’re so jealous of her.  Obviously there will be some baby weight on Teresa only weeks after giving birth but that’s why you don’t wear skin tight clothing so soon after giving birth.  Yikes! I was actually glad to see Teresa’s kids taking Karate lessons, Karate is an excellent discipline for kids and teaches them respect and good values.  Parents have to support those learning’s, however otherwise it isn’t going to take.  Danielle is actually doing the smart thing learning to defend herself and teaching her ... market research, surveys and trends

Unemployed face a perfect storm: Almost a million lose benefits ...
San José, CA - On June 18, a Republican filibuster, aided by pro-war independent Joe Lieberman and Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson, blocked an extension of federal unemployment benefits. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that more than 900,000 laid-off workers will have had their unemployment benefit checks cut off as of June 19. Almost half of unemployed workers have been out of work for six months or more, according to the Department of Labor employment report for May 2010. More and more jobless people are running out of the regular state unemployment insurance benefits, which only last for six months. The federal Emergency ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Income Inequality Is At An All-Time High: STUDY
Income inequality in the United States is at an all-time high, surpassing even levels seen during the Great Depression, according to a recently updated paper by University of California, Berkeley Professor Emmanuel Saez . The paper, which covers data through 2007, points to a staggering, unprecedented disparity in American incomes. On his blog, Nobel prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman called the numbers " truly amazing ." Though income inequality has been growing for some time, the paper paints a stark, disturbing portrait of wealth distribution in America. Saez calculates that in 2007 ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Powell's Blog: Don't cry for me, Tommy Dreamer
I'm sorry I was unable to write this blog last night, but I've been an emotional wreck ever since the conclusion of Thursday's TNA Impact. Watching Tommy Dreamer fight back the tears while waxing nostalgic for his beloved Extreme Championship Wrestling left me a misty eyed mess. No matter how many times I see Tommy shed tears for ECW, I never think to myself that this guy needs to get a grip and move on with his life, nor has the thought ever crossed my mind that he has some type estrogen level issue. Sure, I may wonder what Jeff Jarrett thinks about Dreamer stepping on his turf as the emotional father of ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

He is pictured above, center, with Jan Nolta, director of the UC Davis Stem Cell Program and Fu-Tong Liu, chair of the Department of Dermatology. "We are thrilled to have him on our team," says Liu. Did Trade Unions/Labor Unions play a role in the founding of ...
First, Democratic Socialism is a proper term. True Democracy is one vote per citizen and majority rule (which leaves the minority at the mercy of the majority). What that fosters in a society is the fear of being in the minority. So, individuals abdicate their individual rights in favor of forming large groups of like minded (fearful) people. These groups tend to be comprised of uneducated laborers who form unions which adhere to the "party line". The net result is loyalty to the ruling party in return for a sense of security in a violent society. So, labor unions are the result of socialism, not the other way around. And by the ...
WikiAnswers - What does an emotional abuser get out of the abuse
Personally I think all forms of abuse boil down to control sooner or later. That can be control out of fear, or a sense of inadequacy, or it can be malevolent control, driven by the need to establish dominance for its own sake, even as a proxy for an unresolved issue from the past. "Vendetta by proxy," if you like. All these attitudes can be any shade of conscious or unconscious motivation. Here are more answers and opinions from other FAQ Farmers: Abuse is almost entirely about control. It is often a primitive and immature reaction to life circumstances in which the abuser (usually in his childhood) was rendered ...
