The WMP EC and subcommittees (hereafter WMP Committee) organized a large data gathering effort (internal and external) in an attempt to identify trends, best practices, and areas where discussions should be focused. UCAR Peer Mentoring Model
In response to the President�s Council�s Developing our Human Capital initiative, Human Resources conducted interviews with management and staff, facilitated employee focus groups, and researched similar organizations to identify critical professional development needs within the organization.  Identified topics include:  Recruiting and retention efforts, career development, diversity, mentoring and supervisory/management training programs.  In the area of mentoring, employees identified peer mentoring as the model to best meet their needs.
