The Issue Fraudulent clicks from a certain site on the content network. I got hundreds of clicks from the site (not a problem, i was expecting it), when I noticed that no actions were taking place on the site I decided to dig deeper. Not to mention, according to server logs I'm many visitors short of the reported clicks (all ...

The average "innocuous invalid rate" in Anchor Intelligence's network declined to 29.8% in the second quarter of 2010, representing a 36.1% sequential decrease. That means the invalid traffic rate dropped to less than 1% from 7% in the prior quarter, according to the company's Traffic Quality Q2 2010 report released Monday. But the decrease does not necessarily mean good news for advertisers. Anchor analyzes multiple types of advertising, but predominantly driven by CPC, search ads. While the decrease presents an interesting trend, it does not represent a decline in malicious activity across the Web, but ... market research, surveys and trends

Ghosemajumder has clarified that my assumptions of less than 2% should be based on “invalid clicks”, which means the actual number is more likely just a fraction of one percent! As a foster kid, I never learned to brush my teeth
You recently wrote about when "to change your life." I think I'm there now. And it isn't a problem with my problem that I'm writing about. Where I need help is in steps to follow. I was raised in foster homes from birth to first grade, then I was returned to my family. I left there at age 15. There was no change from one scenario to the other. There was abuse of all types, and kids doing their best to be adults, while adults did their best to ignore the kids. I learned nothing from them, except that (life skills-wise) I was on my own. Do Sites With Zero Content Constitute Click Fraud?
Sometime in the past I saw a reference to someone giving an estimate of the amount click fraud that went on in the "context" advertising side of Adsense. I don't remember what the actual number was but it didn't make any sense to me how the stated number could be as high as it was. I've participated in Adsense for some time now and out of the hundreds of thousands of clicks generated on my site, less than 5 were ever generated by me (yes, all were reported). I just didn't see how Google's evaluation of click behavior on a clean site couldn't be extrapolated to behavior on other sites, so to identify ...
Pay-Per-Click Fraud May Be Exacerbated By Economic Downturn
Click fraud should be at the top of the priority list with Obama and the F.T.C., said Jeff Chester, executive director for the Center for Digital Democracy, an advocacy group. The F.T.C. has seriously lagged in coming to grips with the problems surrounding the online ad market, specifically click fraud. Its extremely important to address the problem because it ultimately affects the consumers, meaning what they end up paying. Click fraud continues to be fueled by Web sites that offer to pay people to click on ads to artificially increase revenue. These networks can hide behind servers that mask the clicks origin. Wow, ...
