A-B Comparison: Google Quality Score and Account Maturity
in Colorado sent me a fantastic video that shows the impact of Google Quality Scores on Cost Per Click and profitability. It shows two nearly identical Google accounts promoting identical affiliate offers. One is in an old, established Google account; the other is a recently opened, less-trusted Google account. The old one does well; new one is penalized with pessimistic Quality Scores. Byron runs both for a week and shows you the considerable difference in click cost and bottom-line profit. Click here to watch the video – it’s 5 minutes long (opens in a new window). Byron’s story of Google Love, very enlightening. market research, surveys and trends
Advanced PPC Bootcamp Training | SuperLever
Over the past 6 or 7 years, I’ve consumed a lot of training materials on Pay Per Click advertising. I’ve seen some really great stuff and a lot of not so great stuff too. One thing that has bugged me is the constant rehashing of the same material. Just to get everyone up to speed. However, I felt like most people who’ve done a fair bit of PPC in the past would already know 90% of the course material. It’s the 10% they don’t know that they are buying the course for. Which is why we’ve created a 14 part (2 week) Advanced PPC Bootcamp. We set out to create a course that tries to switch these ... market research, surveys and trends

Universal Design: One Site to Rule Them All
As someone who has been building websites for over 11 years, I can tell you the two areas that are the least understood and the most maligned are compliance and accessibility. Seen as a type of website welfare, only for the few, they are often ignored as an "only if I have to" or "only if I'm sued" addition to most websites. But following W3C compliance and the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) Level AA can help you reach an untapped $13 trillion market, and also reduce your IT costs, ready you for mobile, improve your Google quality score, and organic search engine placements. Google Quality Score - What to shoot for?
QS as I understand is like PR. A formula created by Google taking in a lot of factors with the exact formula unknown. Like PR - a scale of 0 to 10. 10 being best. My question is this - is 10/10 an acheivable goal? With PR, a PR 10 site isn't realistic. Frankly if you have a PR4, 5 or 6 you have a good site. So, what is a reasonable target - 7/10, 8/10? I'd appreciate a discussion where perhaps you can talk in generalities about where your keywords are and what you hope to attain. Thanks! Hmm.. anyone? My keywords range between 4 and 7 in the QS scale. I'm a novice, just trying to see if those numbers are ...

My click through rate has been 2%-5%. I see they are now asking between $.50 and $10. Is there anything I can do? Do you know what factors go into a quality score? Dave's Answer: You're exactly right that it's the Google "quality score" that's caused your bids to skyrocket on your AdWords campaigns. Basically, Google made some big changes in the last few months to make sure that the ads appearing ...
