Filipino teen singer Charice gets Botox, skin-tightening procedure ...
MANILA, Philippines — Baby-faced teen singer Charice says she prepared for her debut on the hit Fox TV show “Glee” by getting Botox and an anti-aging procedure “to look fresh on camera,” but her publicist said the Botox was for muscle pain, not for cosmetic reasons. The 18-year-old Filipino singer with a booming voice, who recently released her self-titled debut album, saw her career skyrocket after appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ and Oprah Winfrey’s talk shows. She underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox injections to make her “naturally round face” more ... market research, surveys and trends
On Phone-Gate: Shah Mahmood Qureshi's Asinine Statement, And The ...
ell, there you go. That was useful, wasn't it? I mean the entire thing, the whole talks/dialogue thing between Pakistan and India? Accomplished a whole lot, yes? Holy crap, what an utter disaster that was. First of all, a quick memo to Mr. Shah Mahmood Qureshi: please don't treat diplomacy between two nuclear armed rivals with close to a billion and a half people between them as the arena for your playground taunts. The word "unbecoming" comes to mind. For those who don't know, here's what Shah Mahmood Qureshi said after the conclusion of talks widely dismissed as counter-productive by most everyone. market research, surveys and trends

Insurer capital structure decisions and the viability of insurance ...
Claim costs for property-liability insurers are correlated because of common "shocks" that impact the frequency or severity of claims (e.g., catastrophes, changes in tort law, inflation). These events affect insurer profits and may also affect the price and availability of coverage. For example, large natural catastrophes can disrupt reinsurance markets, thus aggravating the effects on primary insurance markets (see Berger, Cummins, and Tennyson, 1992, and Insurance Services Office, 1994). Winter (1994), Cummins and Danzon (1994), Gron (1994), and Cagle and Harrington (1992) all present models that demonstrate ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

KASHMIR – The Dispute That Continues to Rock South Asia
A cartoon published in an American newspaper in 2002 showed former President George W. Bush sitting behind his desk in the Oval Office, utterly confused by a news report he was reading about India and Pakistan going to war over Kashmir. “But why are the two countries fighting over a sweater,” he asked Dick Cheney, who stood by with his usual sly smile on his face. Besides reflecting the intellectual capacity of the American president of the time, the cartoon was a realistic portrayal of the understanding that American leaders have generally shown of this longstanding dispute between Pakistan and India. Why doesn't blogger have an option to block users from commenting ...
Someone is harassing me, posting insulting and inflammatory comments on my blog, and there's nothing I can do to stop them. Blogger's own terms of service say that they won't do anything about it. I understand the whole freedom of speech thing, but they're completely taking away users' rights to defend themselves from being harassed. It would be really nice if blogger allowed me the option of blocking this user so they can't comment on my blog anymore. Why don't they? I don't understand it. The only option they're leaving me is to delete my blog, but I ...
How to quiet down my noisy Asian neighbors. | Ask MetaFilter
A few times a week the young Asian couple next door have very heated arguments which involves knocking about, door slamming and lots of screaming. I don't think their arguments are physically violent and if I did I wouldn't hesitate to call the police. But it is annoying, especially, late at night (sometimes as late as 3:30am.) Of course, being Asian, their arguments aren't in English, so I don't know the subject matter - they both seem to yell at each other equally so I don't think that any one is more abusive than the other. In the past I've found that dealing with noisy neighbors directly works ...
