Why You SHOULD Try Linux On Your Netbook… | Dell Student Laptop ...
After having spent a couple of months trying Linux on a netbook, I figured I’d write a little article on why you should try Linux on your netbook and how to go about doing it. I know I could have used an article like this when I got started, so I hope this is useful to you. First let me give you a brief bit of a run down on Linux. Linux is a project that was started back in the early 90s by a Finnish student named Linus Trovalds. As the story goes, he was learning how to use a student version of Unix, but the way Unix made their student software available for use, meant that students had to go to the library to ... market research, surveys and trends
Chuck out your CAPM and burst your beta, the truly chic academics ...
The business schools reward difficult complex behaviour more than simple behaviour, but simple behaviour is more effective. - Warren Buffett The Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) and Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) are based on a simple assumption that risk is defined by volatility. According to the theory, investors are risk adverse: they are willing to accept more risk (volatility) for higher payoffs and will accept lower returns for a less volatile investment. The theory is simple and elegant, and can lead further into ingenuous mathematical proofs and equations, which probably has a lot to do with why it has become so widely ... market research, surveys and trends

Fixed-Income Index Trends And Portfolio Uses - JOI Articles ...
Fixed-income indexes have always been considered a different index breed because of their complexity and the distinct challenges of managing against them, especially compared with their equity index counterparts. The fixed-income investment universe is much larger and includes securities issued by government, public sector and private sector entities. Index turnover is higher, as outstanding debt matures and new debt is issued continually to meet a particular issuer’s financing needs. Instruments are generally traded over the counter rather than on an exchange, making it imperative for index providers to be directly tied to the ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Why do alpha, beta, gamma rays show different order of penetration ...
gamma rays have the smallest wavelenghts , the hightest frequency and the most energy of any other wave in the electromagnetic spectrum There are currently no comments for this question. * You must be logged into Answers to add comments. Sign in or Register . Alpha and beta are particles in fact. Alpha "rays" are Helium atoms. They are big and heavy particles and therefore can not penetrate to deep Lengths. Beta "rays" are either electrons or positrons. They are much lighter than Alpha rays - Helium. Because they are electrically charged particles, penetration is limited. and thus are stopped by the electrons around other atoms.
