Second, tactical allocation to stock and bond ETFs and risk-controlled allocationwith both forms of allocation informed by the same return forecastsare compared. The paper shows that dynamic asset allocation techniques that can be used with frequently traded and broadly diversified ...

These threats bring about the traditional methods of protecting the salmon, but a new movement aims to protect the habitats before they require protection. 2010 is year to buy & trade
Despite the downturn of the economy last year, 2010 is expected to be a very good year for credential markets. There is, however, some doubt as to whether this growth could be sustained over the next few years. Mr Arjuna Mahe-ndran, the Managing Director and Head of Investment Strategy in HSBC Asia, believes that 2010 is the year to buy and trade. “I think it is going to be a big opportunity for us in 2010 to invest in companies that are benefiting from this huge emerging market growth,” he said. Tax-aware investing for the 21st Century
Benjamin Franklin had it right when he said that "In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes." For investors, it pays to be mindful that it is not only fees that reduce investment returns, but taxes have an impact as well.   Money managers typically focus on pre-tax investment returns, leaving it to investors and their financial advisors to deal with the tax consequences. As a result, interest in tax-managed investments has grown considerably; the number of tax-managed mutual funds increased from 18 in 1995 to over 200 a decade later (source: Lipper Investor Services). Which option is the better way to invest...passive portfolio ...
I believe the market over the next 4 to 5 years is going to require active portfolio management. I believe we are still in a secular bear market and the market in general will have very lackluster returns until around 2014. In order to make a decent return during that time, you'll need to be over-weight in the industries that perform well during recovery periods. Market timing will still be very difficult as it always is. We'll need to rely on managers at companies like Neuberger Berman to know what industries are better to invest in. posted 10 months ago Instructor at University of Phoenix see all my answers Best ...
Pest Control: Carpenter Ants in Winter, Satellite carpenter ant ...
I have definitely identified Carpenter Ants in our Ontario Canada house. We started noticing them early Jan 09. I was able to eventually track them to a hollow-core inside door where there was a small home they were using as an entrance/exit. I put some borax solution into the hole, sealed it with plastic wood and moved the door to an unheated garage. I've been checking it daily and the is no sign of escaping ants. Days here have been sub-zero Celsius and nights more so. What is the best way to deal with the ants inside the door? Thanks Jim Answer Ants found your hollow core door in late summer.  They are known as a ...
