Here's an interesting little chart-based back-test of a trading strategy whose setup appears to be coming about this week. The trading strategy is as follows: Look for a three month high in the price of gold (using a chart based on the weekly close). Look for a pull back. Enter at the next weekly close above the prior three month high. Exit at the next peak in the price of gold (this can be approximated with a trailing stop on the weekly close, although the trailing stop will keep you from harvesting the full gain). The chart below captures this strategy. I'm rather surprised to see 100% (at least as I eyeball ...
rugby league football club stretches back to 1932 when a Manly-Warringah Junior Rugby Football League was founded. In 1947 the New South Wales Rugby Football League included two additional teams, one from Parramatta and a Manly-Warringah District club. The club adopted the nickname Sea Eagles and went on to compete in every season of top-level rugby league until merging with the nearby North Sydney Bears to form the Northern Eagles club at the end of 1999. After three years the joint-venture team was disbanded with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles returning as a sole entity once more to the National Rugby League where they ...

Hi J.D. This is my first email to you. I would like to let you know that I am very impressed with your technical analysis which goes in details yet you keep it simple. Thank you, I like to keep it real simple. I'm looking for the simple trades, and don't want to make it overly complicated. There's always, always going to be plenty of other trading opportunities to make money, so I'd prefer to wait for what I like and not get overly complicated. That's just a natural part of my trading style. May I ask you a few questions? 1. When you provide the list of candidates, is there a way you can ... market research, surveys and trends
Gold and Silver - Will They Protect You?
"There is no means of avoiding a final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." -Ludwig Von Mises Wild predictions for the future price of gold and silver abound. For investors, watching our current crisis play out in slow motion relative to multi-year trends can be excruciatingly difficult. Take, for example, those who invested in precious metals prior to the 2008 stock market and commodities implosion. ... market research, surveys and trends

Investing In Gold To Diversify Assets
Over the years I have frequently been asked about the idea of adding precious metals, especially gold, to a portfolio. Recent economic events, the stock market volatility and movement in gold prices have renewed the interest in this asset and I anticipate again answering the near, age-old question “What about gold?” After all, humans have been chasing gold for centuries. Certainly our interest with owning or investing in gold comes and goes, but an obvious part of gold’s recent allure is its current prices and the returns over the last few years. Regardless of the sector or nature of a particular investment, elevated prices and ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Commodity Trade Alert
(WSJ) The chief beneficiary of investors’ interest in gold funds has been the $50.6 billion SPDR Gold Shares. Now, BlackRock is making a serious bid to change that. The company last week cut fees on its own nearly identical but far less popular $3.3 billion iShares Comex Gold Trust (trading symbol IAU) by more than a third, to 0.25%. The move means that for many financial advisers and Main Street investors, the iShares gold exchange-traded funds could be a better option, at least to those who are in it for the long haul. BlackRock’s move makes a “compelling case,” said Morgan Stanley ETF analyst Dominic ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Why are people buying Gold and Silver now? - Yahoo! Answers
When global economies are in a steep recession, the value of paper money goes down. Most paper currecies are not backed by anything other than the full faith of the government. So buying gold and silver (which have held a value for thousands of years) can be a way to leverage yourself against an impedning economic collapse. However, trading commodities like these can be very risky, and should only be done by people who fully understand how they work. Hi Mr Hay. Can you please help me understand something? I keep hearing about commodities (gold, oil, copper, etc) and the huge long-term demand that will come from India/China et al. However, my company 401k plan and my long-time investment advisor at a local bank, don't offer any "commodity" type investment funds/choices as part of my long-term asset allocation plan. Why is this? Are commodity funds just considered too speculative an investment for 401k plans to offer or are there just not than many ways to invest in this area? Overall Question: shouldn't commodities be consdiered a diversifiying asset class ...
