by Kathryn Staley, is by no means about short selling. If I had to sum it up in a few words, I would say the book is focused on hardcore fundamental analysis. It points all readers in the direction of discovering and analysing fundamental problems with a company. The book clearly states that one should never short a good company with temporary issues or just because a company seems overpriced. There is no mention of technical analysis, trends or volume. The true method of short selling described is based on an extremely detailed fundamental analysis, which is why I immediately purchased the book. The book describes everything ...
aristocrat and writer. Montagu is today chiefly remembered for her letters, particularly her letters from Turkey, which have been described by Billie Melman as “the very first example of a secular work by a woman about the Muslim Orient”.
Kratisto Investing: Book Review - The Economics of Happiness
I originally came up with the idea of including book reviews here because I read a lot anyway, and I thought some visitors might find it interesting to pick up a few ideas here and there for other things to read. So far, the books I've written about have been books that I've liked and thought just about anybody could appreciate. Well, now that changes. The Economics of Happiness by Mark Anielski is one of the least-enjoyable books I've read in quite some time and it was, honestly, a struggle to get through to the end of it. The book starts out with a solid enough premise - namely, that traditional economic ... market research, surveys and trends
The ABCs of Gold Investing Book Review | Silver Monthly - The ...
The first step on the road of communicating in a given language is learning the alphabet. Letters in the alphabet represent sounds. Combining the sounds appropriately results in the formation of words. Words convey meaning. A series of words form a sentence. And a sentence allows for complex expression. Or as Oswald Spengler put it so eloquently, “It is by means of names and numbers that the human understanding obtains power over the world.” In other words, knowing the ABCs is important. Michael Kosares has carried this concept over into his book The ABCs of Gold Investing , in which he considers and explains the rudiments ... market research, surveys and trends

The Dollar Meltdown: Surviving the Impending Currency Crisis ...
is definitely a gloom and doom book.  Fortunately, the author’s style of writing and enthusiasm for his subject – how to avoid the doom – keep the book from being depressing.  Charles Goyette – the author – simply tells it like it is.  And what it is, is a sad state of affairs.  Goyette’s presentation is composed of four parts:  where we are; how we got here; what happens next; and what to do. Under the heading of ‘where we are,’ Goyette points out that “the future of the dollar has already been determined.”  For all intents and purposes, the dollar is dead.  It has lost “96 percent of its purchasing power under the Federal ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Book Review: Hedge Hogs
This is not an obvious time to be glorifying financial tycoons. Making enough money to buy your own private island might have earned you an airbrushed magazine cover a decade ago. Nowadays, though, the erstwhile Masters of the Universe are viewed with such opprobrium that one of their favorite lawyers told me recently he was advising his clients to soft-pedal their objections to financial reform legislation because the more Wall Street hates it, the better it plays on Main Street. Today’s populist mood has not deterred Sebastian Mallaby. In “More Money Than God,” his smart history of the hedge fund business, Mallaby does more ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
'The Last Airbender' Review: Worst Movie Epic Ever?
Asian Americans, I hear your agitation. For the past few weeks, you and your allies in ethnic correctness have clogged the blogosphere with complaints about the casting in M. Night Shyamalan's live-action movie version of the Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender . Yes, the main villain roles among the rapacious Fire People are played by men of Indian descent (as is Shyamalan). Yes, Aang, the show's Chinese hero, is played by a Caucasian boy named Noah Ringer; and two other pasty white kids, Nicola Peltz and Jackson Rathbone, were chosen to impersonate Aang's main pals, Katara and Sokka. Actually, ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
