Investing For Your Future
When asked if they thought about saving for their future, most college students and recent graduates said they really weren't worried yet. "I can't afford to put my money into a long-term investment, I need it now to pay bills and have fun," says Erik Oddy, a senior psychology major at Trenton State College in New Jersey. This mentality is really not at all unusual. I still remember when I first began to work and make some money back in high school. At the time investing was probably the furthest thing from my mind. China's Yuan Move: A Start
At this juncture, no. The yuan's record high of 6.7980 yuan to the dollar reached Tuesday represents just a minor adjustment in Beijing's monetary policy, and that's what investors should look forward to: an incremental and very slow effort by Beijing to let the yuan appreciate, with limits. How much money$ should an 18 year old keep in his/her bank and in ...
That depends upon your goals and whether you are debt free. Saving at 4% while you owe credit cards at 18% or a car loan at 7% is just dumb. If you are debt free, then 3-6 months of household expenses is fine. Stay away from the banks financial advisor. They work for the bank, not for you. Also stay away from CD's (Certificate of Deficit). Think about it - inflation averages 4.5% a year, you CD gets 3.00% at the bank I just looked at on the Net. Thats just dumb. Look at paying for college and consider it an investment. It would be nice to have no debt, a college degree, and a good income with no student loan. ...
