Like the concept of sustainability, social responsibility can address a combination of variables, such as avoidance and affirmative screens, shareholder ...

Created by fund expert Max Rottersman, the site takes advantage of a statistical measure calledr-squared, which shows how closely correlated a fund is to a benchmark index, such as the Standard & Poor's 500. It also shows how much you might save if you simply bought an index fund that tracks the one most similar to your actively managed fund. Leadership has been mostly value funds with a small-mid bias, but a few growth funds land among the current top performers.  Most of our core positions remain highly ranked this month over last, and as we upgrade the few laggards, we continue to add to diversified mid-cap and mid-cap value ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

The first is a defined contribution plan that only my employer can deposit into. It is a well-run state retirement system. I get to choose how the funds are invested. I am in 5 funds, and in the next year (2007) contributions will be ~$420 per quarter ($5k/yr). I like this because, hey, free money. Next is a deferred compensation plan (457[b]) which only I contribute to - there is no matching. Same sort of deal as above, only with a different mix of 5 funds. I contribute ~$215/paycheck biweekly (~$5600/yr). I like this because it is easy -- I don't really notice the deduction and also it's pre-tax. Last is a ...

Sample answer for # 1 above: - 1 URL/PDF that lists the S&P 500 performance figures by year. - 1 URL/PDF that lists of all the Mutual funds, with the annual performance for each one for that year. - data covering the last 10 or 20 years, is more valuable to me than just the last few years.
