A Two-Bar Pattern that Points to Trade Setups :: The Market Oracle ...
Some people like to get outside on the weekends, maybe playing tennis or working in the yard. Some people like to visit their friends or cook a big meal or go out to see a movie. And some people who are passionate about their work -- such as Elliott Wave International's futures analyst Jeffrey Kennedy -- like to stare at hundreds of price charts on their computer screen to find patterns that point to trade setups. We used to worry for his health but not anymore, because he's been doing it for years and he comes up with some neat stuff. A case in point is his discovery of a two-bar pattern that he named ... market research, surveys and trends Highlights Most Discussed Stocks: Sirius, Elan ...

New deal for Rush Limbaugh worth $400 million - The New York Times
The radio host will be paid about $400 million to continue serving up his daily dose of conservative patter through 2016. His $50 million a year paycheck represents a raise of about $14.4 million a year over his current contract, which was paying him $285 million over eight years and was set to expire in 2009. The deal — struck a month short of the 20th anniversary of "The Rush Limbaugh Show" — is thought to be the most expensive in radio since Howard Stern moved to Sirius Satellite Radio for a reported $500 million in 2004. "I'm not retiring until every American agrees with me," Limbaugh, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Goldman's SIV rescue | Analysis & Opinion |
(SIV) formerly run by hedge fund Cheyne Capital, a source close to the matter told Reuters. It would be the first rescue of a failed SIV in such a manner, and could spur hopes that the market for asset-backed securities is finally reviving. Goldman will auction off the SIV’s assets to brokerages, hedge funds and other institutions. The good news is the collateralized debt obligations (CDOs) and other instruments will finally be assigned a concrete value — markets need prices, after all — but the bad news is that price may be quite low due to a small number of bidders. Goldman will also restructure a number of ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
From Out of Spotlight, Algeria Plots a Way Through
From all the pregame chatter and transatlantic gamesmanship in the dwindling days before the World Cup, it may seem as if there are only two teams — England and the United States — in Group C in South Africa. The Times's soccer blog has the 2010 World Cup covered from all angles, with news, features and live analysis of every match. “An easy group? No, this is not an easy group,” the Algerian ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Sirius XM Given New Rules on Repeater Network
The FCC released its ruling on the WCS Coalition and Sirius XM (NASDAQ:SIRI) spectrum interference issues, among other related discussions the FCC had opened up for public debate.  One of these key issues was the power that Sirius XM would be allowed to broadcast from their repeater network.  Repeaters are used to strengthen signals where the signal might be weak, to overcome building interference, or other obstacles.  Due to no interference problems currently with other services, Sirius XM has enjoyed being able to use as much power as they needed per repeater to generate a desirable signal in that area.  The FCC had given them ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
