As long as you are a long term investor, this method would be useful. However, prudence would demand that you restrict the stocks you may have under study for onward investment to the index stocks (that is Sensex and Nifty) and may venture upto the Top 100 stocks in this regard. This method is not country specific and has been successfully utilized in the past even in India.
