Bolton . 2 The Court said that "viability" means "potentially able to live outside the mother's womb, albeit with artificial aid. Unpaid Overtime, Lost Wages & FLSA, California Labor Law Attorney
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is one of the most important pieces of legislation ever enacted by the United States government. It established the first national set of rules and standards designed to protect workers by establishing a minimum wage, reducing the number of dangerous occupations that could employ children, and establishing overtime pay laws that mandated time-and-a-half pay for work beyond a certain or weekly or daily point. Overtime pay is one of the foundations of the modern American workplace.  People expect to be compensated for their labor, and thus the FLSA is designed to prevent businesses ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Dems elevate Boehner as face of Bad Old GOP
There's a reason the White House and Dems are throwing everything they have at John Boehner's speech attacking Obama's economic policies: Dems and White House advisers know they must not allow Boehner and the GOP to achieve a clean relaunch of their party and their ideas heading into the midterms. The big underlying fight right now is over whether Republicans will succeed in rebranding themselves, achieving separation from Bush and the party that ran Congress before the Dem takeover, or whether Dems will successfully convince the electorate that a vote for the GOP is a vote for the party that brought our economy ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Defendant challenges the juvenile court's imposition of an order for restitution of the victims pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 730.6. We therefore affirm the judgment. On April 30, 2009, defendant admitted that she committed the offense of hit-and-run driving, causing injury (Veh. Code, § 20001, subd. WikiAnswers - What is the law regarding withholding wages
It is an estimate on the taxes that will eventually be filed. Any amount too high or too low is corrected by payment or refund with the return. As an employee, the employer has an obligation to pay certain portions of tax...like half of FICA. That is not true when self employed, where you are essentially both the employee and employer. Auto Insurance Claims: proof of lost wages, lost wages, car accident
I was hit from behind at a stop light in January.  I had to miss a total of 84 hours work (vacation and sick leave) but it was over a period of time when the migraines would hit.  I would call in sick and if I was out of time, it would go against my vacation time.  When I called in, I am not required to give my employer a reason that I will be out.  Now I can't get the employer to sign a wage verification because they know I missed those hours, but they don't know it was because of an accident.  Do I have any recourse?  I really want to add in my wages when I try to settle.
