Scales of Justice: A History of Supreme Court Nominations ...
I would like to hear you talk about the religion of Justices and nominees. With the departure of Stevens, there will remain only a couple of Jews in an otherwise all-Catholic SCOTUS. How significant has the religion of Justices been over time? How might the issue influence the next nomination? Quote I’d like to hear you address the role of SCOTUS (and the judiciary in general) in re minority rights. I recently re-read Martha Nussbaums’s Liberty of Conscience: In Defense of America’s Tradition of Religious Equality , and I was struck by how many of the cases she cited were from the 20th century and later. ... market research, surveys and trends
The Global University Campus
a couple hundred Web citizens, industry folk, and government representatives gathered to share their perspectives on the current state of the Internet and the visions they hold for the future of the global Web. I’ll blog later about a great discussion which took place regarding user education of cyber-crime, but for now I’m going to focus on the stand-out speech of the event: Pablo Molina , a graduate professor in technology management at Georgetown University, kicked off the day with a terrific lecture discussing how the Internet has transformed university education. As a professor and the university’s chief ... market research, surveys and trends

Do high GRE scores translate to scholarships from MLS programs ...
After reading many of the previous posts on AskMeFi, I'm considering applying to master of library science programs. Some of the schools I'm looking at exempt holders of advanced or professional degrees from submitting GRE scores with their applications. I have a JD, so presumably I wouldn't need to take the GRE and submit scores. My question is, should I take the test anyway with the hope of getting merit-based scholarships? As background, I scored in the 99th and 98th percentile on the SAT and LSAT, respectively, and my scores on those tests got me a lot of admission and scholarship offers from various schools ...
