Is it legal to hide your ip?
There is absolutely no law or rule that says you cannot hide your IP address.  For one thing, as an identifier, it's pretty worthless.  My IP address gets assigned or reassigned 2-3 times every day.  Second, even if it were identifying me (or more correctly, my computer), so what?  It is not identifying a person, just a computer.  You can't put blame for anything, because the prosecution would have to prove it was YOU sitting at a computer with THAT IP at THAT time.  Not easy to do.   Finally, there is simply no law.  While we are moving to the creation of a police ...
