USA v. Arizona: Let the Games Begin : America's Right
Today, the Guy from Chicago, aided and abetted by his mouthpiece at the Justice Department and his aide at the Department of Homeland Security, publicly announced that the lawsuit they have been threatening to file for nearly two months would, in fact, be filed today. And, surely not wanting to disappoint, they followed through on the threat . The lawsuit seeks to block the enforcement and implementation of Arizona’s new law of self-defense against the tide of illegal immigrants that the federal government has allowed to flood over the state. That law, SB 1070, is attacked in the suit not on the grounds that it ... market research, surveys and trends

Miller: Jenna, we’re back. Of course we’re talking about these exceptions to the probable cause and warrant requirement. I’d like to talk a little bit about consent. Are you ready to do that? Solari: Not quite yet. I think we’ve discussed a lot of law so far Tim and now might be a good time to apply some of it. So, let’s do some hypothetical scenarios. Let’s assume we’re federal agents and we’ve completed a search warrant application and based on that application, a Federal Magistrate in the district where the place to be searched is located has authorized us to search. The particular place is 123 Main Street here in Brunswick. ... technology research, surveys study and trend statistics

What is the difference between actual authority and apparent ...
If I own a business I have actual authority to make a decision and to bind the company. If I appoint a manager, but tell him that he has to clear all decisions over $1,000 with me, then he has no "actual authority" to sign a $10,000 deal. But, if a client negotiates that $10,000 deal with the manager he might well be able to hold me to it because he signed it "thinking" the manager had the right to sign it because, as the manager, he had "apparent authority".
