Legal Self-Help: Handshake Fee Deal Results in Lawsuit Despite 40 ...
Jamie Epstein and Charles Tannenbaum first met 40 years ago, and their friendship blossomed into a working relationship when both became lawyers. Over the years, they teamed up in the handling of cases, and referred cases to each other, often on handshake fee-splitting deals. But now the two are locked in federal litigation over the contingency fee from the $500,000 settlement of a discrimination case. Tannenbaum is suing for half the fee, while Epstein claims Tannenbaum should get no more than 10 percent. Continue the discussion on your blog. Supreme Court Throws Christian Students to the Lions - Amy ...
It seems Mary Kay Kane, former Dean of Hastings College of Law, and her administration opposed the views held by the Christian Legal Society on their campus, so they threw ‘em out.  Last week, while the media focused a good deal of attention on Elena Kagan’s vapid and hollow charade  confirmation hearing, the nine current Supreme Court Justices finished another term.  The Court’s decision in McDonald v. Chicago was a victory for all those who can read the Second Amendment, however, its decision in Christian Legal Society v. Martinez struck a major blow to First Amendment advocates everywhere.  market research, surveys and trends

Religious Leaders vs. Members: An Examination of Contrasting Views ...
In contrast to many national religious leaders who are lobbying for increases in immigration numbers, a new Zogby poll of likely voters who belong to the same religious communities finds strong support for reducing overall immigration. Moreover, the poll finds that members strongly disagree with their leaders’ contention that more immigrant workers need to be allowed into the country. Also, most parishioners and congregants advocate for more enforcement to cause illegal workers to go home, while most religious leaders are calling for putting illegal immigrants on a path to U.S. citizenship. Tennessee wrestles with immigration problem
A Customs and Border Patrol agent patrols along the international border in Nogales, Ariz., earlier this year. At the heart of the debate over Arizona’s tough new immigration law is frustration with how the United States deals with the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants within its borders. DeKalb judge to CEO: Fund courts or face legal action
DeKalb County's judges, sheriff and prosecutors are threatening to sue CEO Burrell Ellis if he fails to adequately fund the court system. On Monday afternoon, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution obtained a copy of a letter Chief Superior Court Judge Cynthia J. Becker sent to the CEO ordering him to fully fund all constitutional offices, including the courts. “Your complete lack of direct communication with constitutional officers and apparent disregard for the Constitution mandates placed upon the entire system of justice will force my hand as chief judge to issue a certificate of need this week,” the judge wrote. ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

How do you measure First-Call-Resolution in your call center ...
Thank you all who answered so far. Just to give a simple clarification, I'm looking at best practices. I found many Call Centers not even measuring FCR but know some that do the simplest measurement using codes or call classification. However, one of the main problem is the agent's perception of FCR. If I implement FCR in agents KPI, then I will have to deal with auditing those calls classified as FCR due to agent's manipulation if you like or their own perception of it. posted 7 months ago in Quality Management and Standards | Closed Share This This was selected as Best Answer Using simple codes or classification ...
