The introductory paragraph of this 22 page opinion by Judge Feldman presented the matter succinctly:  "This case asks whether the federal government's imposition of a general moratorium on deepwater drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico was imposed contrary to law."  Even a cursory reading of this strong opinion leaves little doubt; the Federal Court believes that it was. US Government is enjoined from halting offshore drilling.  NEW ORLEANS, LA (Catholic Online) - As an Attorney who has practiced for thirty years, I know how difficult it is to obtain what the law calls ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
The 'best of Canada' indeed
The more I think about this David Johnston appointment, the more I’m inclined to revise my initial reaction. This isn’t just a good choice. It’s an outstanding choice: the best, on paper, since Michener. (We’ll see how he actually performs in the job.) There are few Canadians with lives more filled with accomplishment, or whose character is more widely respected. As such, he brings not only impressive practical credentials to a job that, as we have been reminded of late, is much more than a ceremonial post. His selection also offers an important signal of what we value as a society, of the qualities we think are important, ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

How do I enter into the non-profit sector after school? | LinkedIn ...
I am a third-year law student who will be entering into the job market in 2011. I have had the the great opportunity to work with non-profits in various functions: marketing, board service, public relations, communications, program development, and legal. However, my work experience has been through temporary and internship positions only. I have been in school for the past 6 years and haven't had a chance to work full-time. Therefore, how can I leverage my intern experiences and law degree to land a mid-level management job at a nonprofit in 2011? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Shayla posted ...
