In comparison to federal legislative history documentation, there are far fewer sources to determine legislative intent for Illinois legislation. A good source about Illinois legislative research is Wendt, Illinois Legal Research Guide. (Buffalo, N.Y. : W. S. Hein, 2006) (R,REF KFI 1275 .W46 2006 or D,REF KFI 1275 .W46 2006). Post #2 Web Usability: Oh, What Different Webs We Weave
As I work on a project involving Chicago-area academic law libraries, it becomes increasingly clear that each library has its own culture. Curious about how those differences might be reflected in the individual web sites, I critiqued the following library sites (in order of the Magee Chicago-area Law Library Web Site Ranking):  No. 1  Northwestern University Law Library: Pritzker Legal Research Center (NULL) The function of law libraries is to facilitate, as the library’s name suggests, legal research. Whereas general academic libraries might have users with diverse ... market research, surveys and trends

Raw Story » Bailed out Buffett: Buffett firms got $95 billion of ...
But apparently, the companies he invests in did. According to a new report, companies in which Warren Buffett owns sizable minority stakes received a whopping $95 billion in Troubled Asset Relief funding, as Buffett was shilling for investments in common stocks. To be fair, his holding company, Berkshire Hathaway, has received no government aid. In fact, Berkshire became a major lender in the wake of frozen US credit markets, injecting $5 billion into General Electric, Goldman Sachs and even motorcycle-maker Harley Davidson at hefty interest rates. A bitter Reuters blogger, however, points out that Buffett’s investment ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Is Phil Angelides Enabling the Pillaging of Veterans' Pensions?
Phil Angelides serves as chairman of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission appointed by the leadership of the House and Senate. I informed him June 8th of evidence confirming the presence of organized crime in looting the nation’s pension plans. As Senate Finance Committee counsel, 1980-87, the pension area was a central focus of my work. I was also familiar with his role, while State Treasurer of California (elected in 1998 and again in 2002), as an  ex officio member of the board of the nation’s first and third largest public pension plans, both in California. The vice-chairman is Bill Thomas, a former Congressman and ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Barack Obama's Connections to Socialism, Communism and Racial Divisiveness
this article will “speak” for itself. The following is a list of Barack Obama’s connections to socialism, communism, Marxism, racial divisiveness, and political corruption. If you can ignore this and still support the man who refuses to disclose much of his past, then you should not be voting in November. The Early Mentors and Influences Barack Hussein Obama Sr. – Barack’s father was an African socialist. While he was not with his son for much of Barack Jr.’s childhood, they did keep in touch through routine correspondence according to the memoir, Dreams From My Father.
