I was wondering how you all came up with your location preferences and researched them. My plan was to just pick 5 places on a map of Japan and google them, but there seems to be little info available and all the locations seem to be cities as the map doesn't zoom in far enough to find towns. I also don't understand the whole prefecture thing So far I'm looking at: Makinohara Shimoda Numazu Yaizu Omaezaki ps- I get that I'm unlikely to be placed in my prefs anyway if I get in, I just want to make sure I have good reasons if asked about locations if I get to an interview Thanks guys SakuraHoshi shoshinsha

India – Sexual Harassment At Workplace Bill – 2010 | MND: Your ...
The Sexual Harassment at Workplace Bill 2010 focuses on women’s right to protection against sexual harassment at the workplace. The Bill cites their right to equality, right to life and right to live in dignity enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The Bill and its architects patently undermine the basic truth that sexual harassment is neither about sex nor gender, that it is about power, and that a woman in power can be every bit as abusive as a man. Most importantly, the Bill undermines the Indian Constitution and its provisions which state that men and women have the same right to equality, the same right to life and ... market research, surveys and trends
Partner Accused of Sexual Harassment Sues Accusing Associate ...
A leading partner at a Toronto law firm has filed a $2.3 million lawsuit against former associates Adrian Jakibchuk, a fourth-year lawyer, and Sarah Diebel, a second-year lawyer, after they accused him of sexual harassment. The firm, Mathews, Dinsdale & Clarke , advises companies on sexual harassment claims and David Cowling, the partner, has sued two junior lawyers, who have left the firm, for defamation and intentional interference with economic relations. The allegations stem from a firm party held in January 2009 at the Toronto nightclub Cheval. The case raises an interesting challenge of the intracorporate privilege that ... market research, surveys and trends

Sexual Harassment--A Global Problem - Jehovah's Witnesses Official ...
WORK had become a nightmare for a young secretary named Rena Weeks. True, the law firm that employed her had a prestigious name and offices in over two dozen countries. But she worked for a man who, according to her claim, would not stop grabbing and touching her. The humiliating assaults were punctuated by crude, suggestive speech. Years ago, women in situations like this had little recourse—except maybe to quit. 'Her word against his' would have been the judgment of management. And even those inclined to believe the woman's side of the story would probably have shrugged off the problem by saying, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Employment-law attorney and author Anne Covey joined us for a CNN.com/career chat, talking about sexual harassment in the workplace -- how to try to prevent it and how prevalent it is today. Read the transcript. By Larry Keller CNN.com/career Senior Writer (CNN) -- "He'd say, 'Why don't you come join me in the back of my truck?' He'd insinuate things. What sexual harassment?
DEAR CHICO AND DELAMAR...I just recently got my dream job at an event organizing company. I’ve mostly done office tasks, but a couple of days ago I was finally part of a big event. Of course, there were drinks involved, and I ended up getting a little tipsy, with more than a little encouragement from my co-workers and superiors. The troubling part for me is that I ended up going home with a boss, and we sort of ended up making out. I was getting into it at the beginning, but as the night wore on I asked him to stop, which to his credit, he actually did after a few minutes of protesting from me. When we next met at his ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Reputations overboard in navy scandal
It's sailor against sailor as an inquiry into allegations of sexual abuse on board HMAS Success continues, writes Malcolm Brown. Service chiefs and politicians always knew there would be difficulties bringing women fully into the front line in the armed services. There had been resistance to the idea for years, at a time when women in the services were mainly confined to more auxiliary roles, such as administrative work. When barriers were dropped in 1983 to allow female sailors to serve on board vessels of the Royal Australian Navy, the standard term used by male crew for the women working beside them was ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Sexual harassment laws further shift academic power relations
STANFORD -- Reducing the rate of sexual harassment in colleges and universities may require mandatory training for faculty, staff and students, labor economist Myra Strober told a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Universities also should appoint accusers' peers to grievance committees in cases that can't be resolved informally, Strober said, and publicly report sanctions - although not necessarily the names of those involved - when someone is found guilty of sexual harassment. "It is important that potential complainants know that something ...

Complaints of Sexual Harassment - when is it appropriate to ...
Lance, that is a great topic to discuss with your employment lawyer. If a client were to ask me that question, I would probably answer as follows: There are two competing priorities that you need to take into account in deciding the employer's response. First, the employer doesn't want people who are experiencing unwelcome behavior to be discouraged from reporting it because they are concerned that if their allegations cannot be corroborated, they will be disciplined. Some complaints may result from honest misunderstandings, and in some cases the employer may simply be unable to corroborate the allegations due to the ...
