It’s not vey often I give air space to the Sovereign Society – a US based organisation promoting offshore – largely because most of what they say is quite ludicrous. But I get their emailos and one I got this morning made a lot of sense for a change, so I’ll quote it at length. I’m sure they won’t mind – they’ve taken their fair share from here over the years. Bob Bauman of the Sovereign Society ( a colourful character ) said in his blog : Six weeks after the bill’s anti-offshore provisions were introduced as the " Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act " (without hearings or any chance for opponents to be heard), the ...

Competition Laws
The aims of competition (anti-trust) laws are to ensure that consumers pay the lowest possible price (=the most efficient price) coupled with the highest quality of the goods and services which they consume. This, according to current economic theories, can be achieved only through effective competition. Competition not only reduces particular prices of specific goods and services – it also tends to have a deflationary effect by reducing the general price level. It pits consumers against producers, producers against other producers (in the battle to win the heart of consumers) and even consumers against consumers (for ... market research, surveys and trends - Blog - TUSITALA » Blog Archive » Globality, rules of ...

FiveThirtyEight: Politics Done Right
I'm not talking about the small haircut that LeBron will take to keep Miami under the cap (something which is counteracted by Florida's lack of an income tax). Nor am I talking about the 6th guaranteed contract year that LeBron could have gotten by staying in Cleveland (he should still be a max player in 2016 anyway). Rather, I'm talking about the hit that James may have taken to his reputation for what looks to be an extremely unpopular decision. James earned $28 million from endorsements in 2009, behind only golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. And James's 'Q' rating -- a measure of the number ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Ugland House Explained - Myths and Facts
18,000 companies claim to be conducting business out of Ugland House, a small five-storey building in Cayman. That's impossible, so something wrong must be happening there. Facts: This is a misconception about the role of a company's registered office A company's registered office address and operating business address are not the same. Companies using Ugland House as their registered office do not actually operate their businesses from there. Registered office is not the site of business operations The registered office of a company is often not the same as the place of its business operations. Pullicino Orlando says he was not asked to withdraw divorce bill
There is no issue here. Divorce should be legalized because weather the Dr Gonzi or the Church like it or not, there are many who want it , and those who can afford it do it abroad whilst those who can't just have to lump it. Anybody who is against it are free not to seek divorces themselves but have o right to impose their views on others. What are they affraid of? This "because Malta is a Catholic country" attitude is long expired and has no place in the 21st century. I have the same feelings for the censorship laws, abortion (in some cases) etc... My point is that I don't consider a referendum necessary ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Legal Rights (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)
Legal rights are, clearly, rights which exist under the rules of legal systems. They raise a number of different philosophical issues. (1) Whether legal rights are conceptually related to other types of rights, principally moral rights; (2) What the analysis of the concept of a legal right is; (3) What kinds of entities can be legal right-holders; (4) Whether there any kinds of rights which are exclusive to, or at least have much greater importance in, legal systems, as opposed to morality; (5) What rights legal systems ought to create or recognise. Issue (5) is primarily one of moral and political philosophy, and is not ...

Currency reports in more countries including the UK
I am in the UK so the earlier shift to euro reporting did not affect me. The latest from Inside AdSense Team is they are adding more countries and one of them is the UK Here is the new list Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Portugal, South Africa, Switzerland, and the UK They are saying also that we can try the system but also say that in the end it will be compulsory. I was just wondering what anyone thinks about this, is it a good thing or is it just another way of cutting out earnings. Any thoughts? Can you start a small business in a socialist country?
No… you cannot start a business in France. All is controlled by the Government and you need to become a 40 year member of the socialist party first. This is a nuisance to all hard working honest people in Europe, but it seems no issue in France. ;-) Of course you can start a business in France or in other European countries. you seem to have a warped idea on Europe. Come over and get informed, I’d say. Socialism isn’t communism. And even in communist states, nowadays people can start their businesses. If you’re not trolling, then please think about your questions a little bit more, before posting. People ...
