Michelle Malkin » Legal Progressive Doesn't Know Meaning of Term ...
Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan on Tuesday fought off Republicans who were trying hard to paint her as a liberal activist, saying she’d be a fair, open-minded justice and refusing to call herself a “legal progressive.” “I honestly don’t know what that label means,” Kagan told Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama . Sessions, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Republican, kept pressing the former Harvard Law School dean, quoting her colleagues to make the point. Kagan wouldn’t take the bait, though. As Sessions pointed out in the confirmation hearing, as of last month, Joe Biden’s ... market research, surveys and trends

securities legal definition of securities. securities synonyms by ...
Securities are documents that merely represent an interest or a right in something else; they are not consumed or used in the same way as traditional consumer goods. Types of securities include notes, stocks, treasury stocks, bonds, debentures, certificates of interest or participation in profit-sharing agreements, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Soft Skull: Trust Reaching the 100 Million Missing Voters by Farai ...
Farai Chideya poses a question that's central to this country, and, given our world dominance, to almost every other country: Why is the U.S. the least participatory democracy in history? Run, do not walk, to buy this book - then act on it before November 2nd. There are few that can sum up the social, political, and yet cultural divides and collides like Farai Chideya. Her analysis of everyday surroundings and governing structure serves as a hip play-by-play protection guide for the millennium mind/ Farai Chideya is someone I've come to know as a brilliant analyst of the American scene, and she has now zeroed in on the ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Judges, Guns and Money: Part I
we held that the Second Amendment protects the right to possess a handgun in the home for the purpose of self-defense. Unless considerations of stare decisis counsel otherwise, a provision of the Bill of Rights that protects a right that is fundamental from an American perspective applies equally to the Federal Government and the States. See Duncan, 391 U. S., at 149, and n. 14. We therefore hold that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the Second Amendment right recognized in Heller. The judgment of the Court of Appeals is reversed, and the case is remanded for further proceedings. It is so ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Daily Kos gets transparency in media right
by three statistics wizards showing, quite convincingly, that the weekly Research 2000 State of the Nation poll we ran the past year and a half was likely bunk. If there's a Mother of All Corrections, this comes pretty close. When the proprietor of a well-known and widely followed media organization brings something this awful to the attention of his audience, and in such a forceful and prominent way, he's doing something fairly rare -- and noteworthy. My survey research and statistics skills aren't strong enough to vouch for what the statistics wizards came up with, but the redoubtable Nate Silver is doing just that market trends, news research and surveys resources

What are living expenses, exactly? Is there a legal definition ...
I recently found out that I have a large trust fund set up in my name for college and it includes living expenses. What does that mean exactly? Would that cover things like a computer or a car? 1 year ago (Tiebreaker) Answerer 1 Room and board the computer for school... but make sure the trustee agrees with your purchase first.. They may say yes to Dell and NO to mac! A car is NOT a living expense, it's an extra many kids go to college and have no car.
