Doctoral students take part in lectures and discussions with experienced scholars in the field. They present their projects (theory, methods, findings, interpretations etc.) in small groups and receive comments from experts and fellow PhD researchers. All workshop programmes offer ample opportunity for academic exchange and networking. Between 2007 and 2012 some workshops are jointly organised with RECWOWE, the European Network of Excellence on 'reconciling work and welfare in Europe'. CALL ...

Three clients in the space of a week asked me if I’d seen the Harvard Business Review article by Steven Berglas on “The Very Real Dangers of Executive Coaching (June 2002).” One client was particularly interested in my reaction to the article’s contention that coaching services provided by people who were not psychologically trained, experienced or skilled, could be destructive. It was only later that I realized our discussion around that issue had parallelled the coaching process. He set the agenda, I asked questions, we switched from a discussion about the article to a discussion about our coaching relationship and reaffirmed ... market research, surveys and trends

Supervisor Work-Life Enrichment Improves Employee Performance
COLLEGE STATION, July 20, 2010 — When supervisors want better performance from employees, there is a single step they can take: provide them with a more enriching, flexible work environment. That step is seemingly enhanced if the supervisor has a good work-home life balance, researchers find. There is a direct link between supervisor work-family enrichment and subordinate performance, says the new research conducted by Dwayne Whitten , clinical assistant professor of information and operations management at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and colleagues. Crisis? What Crisis?
Pity poor Japan. the "lost decade" has now turned into two. The country is gripped by self-doubt. And yet is it all really so grim? Japan certainly has it tough economically. This is a nightmare for all but the most innovative businesses. I understand the frustrations of Japanese executives who are despondent at the continuing failure of economic reforms. But when you look ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
