I am doing a science project on cleaning oil off of bird feathers. I have researched that two major methods for cleaning birds are DAWN soap and iron powder to remove the oil. As part of my research, I am required to interview a profesional in my field of interest. I would like to know which of these two methods of cleaning is most regularly used, and how efficient the methods are. I would also like to know  how one might test the efficiency of these two methods of oil removal.
