in Times Square. I’m talking about the terror unleashed yesterday by an errant trader on Wall Street who triggered a 1,000 point drop in the stock market with the press of a button (this rumor hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s a working theory at the moment). Regardless of who or what triggered the sell-off, the problem was exacerbated by computer-driven, high-frequency trading . Almost $1 trillion in equity value was wiped out in a matter of minutes before the market rebounded and closed “just” 3 percent down for the day. should they pursue and whether it will actually help their careers. In today's global economy companies operate within complex supply chains and rely heavily on their management staff to minimize issues and to react swiftly when any problems occur. In the past firms depended on staff that had years of "on the job" experience, but for the next generation of supply chain professionals they will look not only for experience, but more to relevant formal supply chain education. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Is a MBA degree in logistics and supply chain management a good ...
I recently graduated with a BBA degree in general business. I work at a supply chain company, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, and my job is kind of alright, but doesn't pay much. I'm wanting to improve myself in life and work hard for what I want. I'm thinking about pursuing a MBA degree in logistics and supply chain management and also wanting to get a Customs Brokerage License. Eventually I believe I'd like to become a distribution manager. I'd just like to hear other peoples thoughts on the import/export business. Is it a good business to stay with? I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.
