The citizen soldier brings many assets to the work place: they tend to follow instructions and respect authority; they have leadership skills and work well in organizations. Some have service-acquired skills that translate well in the business community such as computer skills. With these many talents provided to the employer come responsibilities.                                             Photo: SX70 This ...
Firestorm on the Horizon – PTSD
When Jessie Bratcher, a 26-year-old Oregon Army National Guard soldier from John Day, shot and killed a man in 2008, he freely admitted to committing the murder. The question for jurors was whether Bratcher, at the time of the killing, was insane from the mental and emotional trauma he suffered during the Iraq war. The jury deliberated for two days last October before deciding that Bratcher was indeed guilty but insane because of post-traumatic stress disorder. With that verdict, Bratcher became the first Iraq war veteran in the state — and one of the first in the nation — to successfully claim PTSD as a criminal defense. The Health Care Blog: Myths & Facts about Health Care Reform, Part 4
I addressed the fear that  cuts in Medicare spending will threaten the financial health of the nation’s hospitals. Reform’s critics argue that hospitals already lose money on Medicare patients, and that if the government tightens its belt, they will lose revenues that they sorely need if they are going to provide high quality care. The truth is that, today, more efficient hospitals make money or at least break even on Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare “cuts” will not affect needed care; they aim only at reducing waste, infections and inefficiencies that hurt patients. I also explain how ... market research, surveys and trends

Morning Must Reads: Let Them Eat Cake
"--Orin Kerr doesn't think the factual findings will matter too much if/when the case reaches the Supreme Court; he argues the case is just too big to rely heavily on the lower court's findings and Judge Walker may have pushed too hard." . Orin Kerr is correct. The Supreme Court and the Supreme Court alone will make this very important interpretation of our Constitution. . It certainly would be nice if each side would stop calling each other names and realize that as Americans we are all have a right to our opinions without being called bigots or fags. A little civil discourse would be good for our Democracy. 3X, market trends, news research and surveys resources
District 24 candidate Craig Miller under fire over immigration
Business executive Craig Miller faces criticism from other Republicans in the 24th Congressional District primary for his views on immigration, his business decisions and the money he is putting into his campaign. The winner of the five-person Republican primary on Aug. 24 will meet the winner of a Democratic primary between incumbent Suzanne Kosmas of New Smyrna Beach and Paul Partyka of Winter Springs in the Nov. 2 general election. Political analysts peg the general election in District 24 -- which includes North Brevard County and parts of three other counties -- as a tossup race that's being closely watched nationally. market trends, news research and surveys resources

I need a book that can help me understand why I forget so easily ...
I'm 31 years old. I have had a isue with this for some time now. I have no mental illnesses and consider myself to be normal. The problem is... when people tell me something whether I'm interested or not, I can't remember word for word later. The worst part, is I can hardly ever even remember what I said word for word. If you tell me you said something and i don't remember, you can sometimes repeat the scenario and it may retrieve something, but usually it doesn't. There are things that I will remember forever, photographically, visually, but for some reason, I misplace words. Show all details , ...
