It was where locals like her parents and oil-and-gas industry executives met and played. Coon was soon hooked and began playing alongside other members. By her sophomore year in high school, she had landed a summer job working for a family friend who happened to be the club pro. Today, Coon is a UCCS junior studying for a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on golf management. “Once I graduate and finish my internships, I’d like to teach, showing others how to play the game,” she said. Getting that first job, however, might be rougher than she imagined. Over the past few years, the economy has hit golf hard, ... market research, surveys and trends
Pradera Colorado » Blog Archive » Get to know two Assistant Golf ...
I was an assistant at The Sanctuary, and with Jim Engh designing both courses I knew a lot of people and had played at Pradera many times. The Sanctuary is such a unique course with just 2 members and I was looking for more of a traditional country club. I am a graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and have a degree in Professional Golf Management. I’m from Nebraska and yes I am a Big Red fan! Dave: I had been working at Ptarmigan, a private Jack Nicklaus club in Ft. Collins and had a contact that knew the chef at Pradera. When an opening came up, I sent my resume. I think we both just wanted to work ... market research, surveys and trends

Ask Jim Riscigno what makes FSU's Professional Golf Management (PGM) program unique, and you will get a solid and complete answer. Our Twitter correspondent Lindsay Pitts tracked down the famous Wanamaker Trophy on Friday. Hopefully, she'll turn it over to the winner in a couple of days. KOHLER, Wis. -- Our second day of saturation coverage of the 92nd PGA Championship, using our army of correspondents, started -- in many ways -- like the first. With a fog delay.   But’s use of reporters, from PGA Professionals and PGA Professional Golf Management students to the actual players themselves, meant that we -- and you -- were never far from immediately knowing all the happenings that were taking place in Kohler. Is the North Carolina State Professional Golf Management Program ...
I am looking into details of the 18 colleges that offer the PGA/PGM Program. We live in MI and I know that Ferris State is supposed to be good but I am liking NCSU also. The main reason being that most of the colleges including Ferris are giving Bachelors in Business or Marketing or Finance with a concentration in PGM. North Carolina gives a Bachelor of Science in Professional Golf Management with a minor in Business Management. Since my son's main goal is to golf for life (but has been told by us he has to get a degree as backup) I like the fact that the actual Bachelor is in Golf Management because my son IS NOT a ...
