QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What is the difference between Talent Management and Workforce ...
The big difference for me is that Talent management is targeted and looks at retaining and developing the people in areas where it is hard to procure, or where it is hard to develop...so this means that not everyone in the organisation is going to be involved. Certain skillsets and certain people will be proactively developed and the rest will be assisted with personal development plans and suchlike, but less proactively. Some people say this is unfair...I believe it is necessary for survival. Workforce manageemnt is focussed on everyone in the organisation dealing with all people in the same way. posted August 15, 2008 Hi Bryan,
Should Dimitir really have held vice president of product ...
Before Dimitri joined Yahoo! in 2005, he previously spent five years at Intuit where he lead the product management team for small business accounting software, QuickBooks. Now, it has been announced that he has been named as vice president of product management. When you factor in where he came from before, he was bound to be in the position in the first place.
