Dear Randy, I watch you on Oprah today and I must say that I admire your strength and as a RN I understand the outcome that you are facing, but as an intercessor I believe that you do not have to die within the time that the doctors gave you. Your tongue has the power of life and death and if you speak death you will get death but if you speak life you will get life. Please for the sake of your three children and wife every morning you get up and every time you can while you are awake say these words I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. quote these verses in Isaiah chapter 53 verses 4 and 5 daily and I ...

Time Management
This weekend I took some time out to watch the Time Management talk by Randy Pausch.Randy Pausch was an Computer Science professor at CMU. He died of cancer in July, 2008. He was a great speaker and some of his lectures has become very famous in the last few years. The most famous one being “ The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams " which is one of the most inspiring talks I have ever heard. The talk on Time management, however, is a more pragmatic talk and talks about techniques to manage time better. Again, the underlying principle in Randy’s talk is to maximize life and fun. Here is the talk ... market research, surveys and trends
Focusing on the Good News
We are creating this blog to simplify getting information out to the many friends and family who have asked to be kept current as Tina goes through her surgery and recovery. One of the best things about my work life is that I mostly get to pick the things I think about and spend energy on. There are a whole series of corollaries that go with that, most irritatingly right now that I’m interested in more things than I have the time or energy to pursue. So, if I’m feeling overwhelmed, that’s another of the good problems to have. Furthermore, almost all the things that absolutely, positively have to get done are ... market research, surveys and trends

XIRUS Notes: 11/2009
this site is currently nothing but a parked web page. that means the page is waiting to be used. it currently has no function. which comes to my question. if you had a personalized web name, what type of site would you build? would it be a business site? would it be a personal site? would it be a combination of both? or would it be a site you would dedicate to a cause or pet? i am eventually going to build a brand around the name XIRUS. this is why i made sure to purchase both xirus.com and xirus.net. right now, i just do not know how to proceed. i was hoping for some insight from my contacts and friends. you all are a valuable ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

A biopsy last week revealed that the cancer has progresed further than we had thought from recent PETscans. Since last week, Randy has also taken a step down and is much sicker than he had been. He's now enrolled in hospice. He's no longer able to post here so I'm a friend posting on his behalf because we know that many folks are watching this space for updates.   I continue to slowly recover. Chemotherapy has a cumulative effect, so it takes longer to recover the deeper one gets into this. Our current thinking is that more chemotherapy may not be wise; at this point, almost all potential ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Trent Williams says he's fine, will practice this week
Despite suffering a forearm contusion Saturday and walking around in a sling for the second half of the Redskins' 23-3 loss to Baltimore, rookie left tackle Trent Williams expects to practice fully this week and play in Friday's game against the New York Jets. "I'm fine," he said. "I'm A-OK." Williams said he injured his forearm in the first quarter but played through the pain. He received ice treatment and wore the sling to reduce swelling, he said. With his arm wrapped, Williams practiced regularly on Monday and knows his performance against the Ravens showed he has room for improvement. market trends, news research and surveys resources
Frank Talk About Care at Life's End
Legislators have begun to recognize the medical, humanitarian and economic value of helping terminally ill patients and their families navigate treatment options as they approach the end of life. Last week, over the objections of New York State’s medical society, Gov. David A. Paterson signed into law a bill — the New York Palliative Care Information Act — requiring physicians who treat patients with a terminal illness or condition to offer them or their representatives information about prognosis and options for end-of-life care, including aggressive pain management and hospice care as well as the ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Family Medicine: Ten time-management tips for family physicians
Family physicians often complain that they are “drowning in paperwork,” “working longer hours and making less money,” “needing more time off” and feeling “tired and pressured” as they run between their responsibilities at home, office, hospital and nursing home. Improved time management can help, but many of us are at a loss as to where to start. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Where can I find a Randy Pausch Time Log sheet? - Yahoo! Answers
I just listened to a lecture by Randy Pausch. He advised that we make a time log to record time spent in a day. The table marks the time of the day in half an hour increments. In addition the the top of the table lists activities and notes. I would rather not make one for myself on excel. Thank you in advance. Member since: October 21, 2007 Total points: 744 (Level 2) The image of the time log sheet on his ppt presentation is a bit messy. I've recreated it in PDF form here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/2519267/Time-L… And if you want to change the start time, use this excel sheet: http://www.scribd.com/doc/2519302/Time-L… ...
