Develop a Point of Difference

develop a point of difference special research report Photo by www.consensus.com.au
When I discuss advanced affiliate marketing, I often suggest creating affiliate brands instead of affiliate sites and provide these two recommendations:  1.)   Start buying “brandable” and not keyword-laden domains. If you can include a keyword in your domain name, great, but branding is important and necessary.  2.)   Differentiate yourself and add value. Let’s get one thing straight – Google doesn’t hate affiliate sites. Google hates thin affiliate sites. Treat your affiliate site like any “real business” and develop a point of difference.  Defining a point of difference is something that I’m asked about often. And the ...
From 1744 until 1954, 0 °C was defined as the freezing point of water and 100 °C was defined as the boiling point of water, both at a pressure of one standard atmosphere . Although these defining correlations are commonly taught in schools today, by international agreement the unit "degree Celsius" and the Celsius scale are currently defined by two different points: absolute zero , and the triple point of VSMOW (specially prepared water). This definition also precisely relates the Celsius scale to the Kelvin scale, which defines the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature (symbol: K). Absolute zero, the ...

How to Survive the Affiliate Marketing Evolution - Sugarrae
this post is not for you. I understand that you won’t neccessarily have the resources to pull this strategy off in it’s entirety. If you’re an affiliate who’s career is less than a year old, you’d likely be best served by building a defensible site in a competitive category and starting your expansion fund as quickly as possible with the profits. This post is also not aimed at affiliates on the top end of the earning spectrum – you already know what I’m about to say and like me, have probably already had it in action for at least a year or more. Additionally, I also am not talking to ... market research, surveys and trends

An unruly Yank takes on bawdy world of British 'lad' magazines ...
Greg Gutfeld, an American in London, is a far cry from a proper British lad, the sort of bloke who snacks on the British version of Maxim along with his fish and chips. But he has been working hard to go native after being named editor last May of that bawdy, beery and relentlessly British men's magazine. A former editor of Men's Health and Stuff, Gutfeld, 40, was brought to Maxim by its owner, Dennis Publishing, to counter the arrival in the men's magazine market here of two weekly "lad" magazines, Nuts and Zoo. The newcomers have been a hit, using the lad magazine melody of nearly nude women, pub jokes ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Critiques: Blood test, procedure 'flawed'
NEW YORK -- A scientist who has worked to develop a urine test for human growth hormone says the blood test baseball plans to use for minor leaguers can only detect the substance for 6 to 12 hours. Don Catlin said Friday that the test, announced a day earlier by baseball commissioner Bud Selig, is of limited use. In February, a British rugby league player became the first athlete suspended following a positive HGH test. "The fact that it's been around for a few thousand tests and only one positive suggests that either there's much less growth hormone being used than we thought, which is doubtful, or the period of ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Why a climate bill failed
If you wanted to design a threat that our political system couldn't address, here's what you'd do: You'd make the pain of doing nothing come much later, but the pain of doing something begin right now. You'd concentrate the costs of failure in poor countries, while the costs of a policy solution would be concentrated in certain regions of America. You'd make it hard to solve without the imposition of a new tax. You'd make sure that some of the largest and richest industries in the world had an enormous amount to fear from that tax. Which is all to say, it's no surprise that Congress is ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

What is a thesis?
A thesis statement declares what you believe and what you intend to prove. A good thesis statement makes the difference between a thoughtful research project and a simple retelling of facts. A good tentative thesis will help you focus your search for information. But don't rush! You must do a lot of background reading before you know enough about a subject to identify key or essential questions. You may not know how you stand on an issue until you have examined the evidence. You will likely begin your research with a working, preliminary or tentative thesis which you will continue to refine until you are certain of where ...

WikiAnswers - How do you develop a paragraph by using description
The success of a description lies in the difference between what a reader can imagine and what you actually saw and recorded; from that gap arises a spark of engagement. Use sensory language. Go light on adjectives and adverbs. Look for ways to describe action. Pay special attention to the sound and rhythm of words; use these when you can. Think that your language is not so much describing a thing as describing a frame around the thing--a frame so vivid that your reader can pour his or her imagination into it and "see" the thing--even though you never showed it. Portray. Also evoke. The key problem in description is to ...
