Lake County Commissioners Should Reject County Counsel's Request ...
Revised 7/19 - I removed information on a separate matter related to the County Counsel and posted it in another posting on 7/19. The interim County Counsel, Melanie Marsh, is requesting Board approval at Tuesday's (Jul. 20, 2010) Board meeting (agenda tab 15)to increase the hourly rate of a labor law consulting attorney by 13.6% without much justification (in my opinion) except to include the attorney's letter saying they wanted to increase rates. You can review the meeting agenda HERE for the Lake County Board of Commissioners July 20th meeting, and click on the tab 15 to see the details about this issue. market research, surveys and trends

The key to driving an Internet business is to create an effective marketing strategy that generates actual visitors. But, not all visitors are the same. Web traffic needs to be targeted by country and by sector to be effective. If you own a website that specializes in selling official Major League Baseball attire, chances are that Italian web surfers looking for financial information would not be particularly interested. Since marketing costs money, the best use of resources for the Baseball attire website is to target traffic to those living in the United States and who are surfing for entertainment or shopping websites. ... market research, surveys and trends

2008 GC Compensation Survey: Party Like It's 2001
Give Gary Lynch credit for making a dramatic entrance. The chief legal officer for New York-based Morgan Stanley debuted on Corporate Counsel 's annual survey of general counsel compensation with a whopping $6.3 million bonus. That large pot of cash earned him the No. 2 spot overall on our elite roster. A look at the nation's 100 top-paid general counsel in 2007, as measured by the 2008 GC Compensation Survey , shows that he's in good company. Simply put, the top legal officers at Fortune 500 companies raked it in. Obama Defines Dysfunction With One Appointee: Commentary by Kevin Hassett
It captures everything that is wrong with the Obama administration in a nutshell. Republicans should study the case of Becker as well, as it illustrates everything that is wrong with Washington. Democrats should run from Becker; Republicans should run against him. One of President Barack Obama ’s first acts in office was signing Executive Order 13502 , which urged agencies to consider requiring that contractors who do government work use unionized workers. Construction workers everywhere have seen hard times in this recession, but Obama gave preference to those who pay union dues that eventually support Democrats’ election ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
NorthWestern, conservationists propose 'decoupling' rate structure
HELENA — NorthWestern Energy, the state’s largest electric-and-gas utility, makes more money when its customers gobble up more power — but the company and environmental forces are backing a new rate scheme that could change that dynamic. The change is known as “decoupling,” which guarantees the utility a certain amount of revenue no matter how much gas or electricity its customers buy. The rate structure paves the way for NorthWestern to pursue aggressive energy-conservation programs, without worrying how that might affect the company’s bottom line, supporters of the proposal say. “With the existing system, if NorthWestern does ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Where will the economy be at the end of 2010? | LinkedIn Answers ...
When people realize the fraudulent nature of the monetary system they will flee the fiat currencies and run to physical gold and silver (which are nobody's liability) as fast as they can. When people realize that the U.S. is in just as bad or worse shape than the PIIGS nations the U.S. economy will collapse. Some bondholders have sniffed this scent already. It is my opinion that this will likely occur before the end of 2010, but it might be delayed until 2011 because sometimes people are a little slow to grasp what is going on (media can do that to a person), and other times manipulations by "authorities" extend longer than ...
