Affirmative Action and Black Entrepreneurship by Thomas D. Boston ...
The life of an online entrepreneur is extraordinarily rewarding. In fact, so far this decade the growth of successful internet home-based businesses is an absolute phenomenon. Indeed, much discussion on forums and message boards across the internet is devoted to the topic of online businesses. Forum participants freely state their opinions about online business — the good, the bad — but rarely is the ugly discussed to any depth. Why? Noteworthy is the fact that many individuals who regularly participate in such forums are successful or relatively successful entrepreneurs. For that reason alone the majority of what ... market research, surveys and trends
Life of an Internet Entrepreneur
Starting a home business wasn't a big leap for me because I came from a long line of entrepreneurs. From the time I was a little kid I watched my dad building his business. Lacking a formal education, he worked extra hard to overcome that handicap and to achieve the success he eventually attained. I really admired my dad then. His tenacity and work ethic was the model for my own career. Following high school, I decided to put college on hold and enter the work force instead. Hey, what did I know!? Guess what? It didn't take long to discover that working in a department store wasn't very fulfilling, not to ... market research, surveys and trends

Sirius Satellite Radio CEO Mel Karmazin has often said he would like to purchase XM Satellite Radio, the only other major player.  Today he may very well have gotten his wish. Sirius would buy XM for $4.6 billion in stock, which gives current XM stock owners about a 20 percent boost on their shares.  The new company would have 14 million subscribers. Under the deal, Mel Karmazin, the more charismatic of the two companies’ CEOs, would be the CEO of the new company, while XM Chairman Gary Parsons would retain his position in the new company. The deal needs to get Federal Communications Commission approval to go through. ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Private sector needs a stimulus
To get the U.S. economy back up to speed, we need to concentrate on the private sector. There is a very simple reason for this, and it’s not politics. It’s economics. The public sector is an important portion of our lives, certainly. We are dependent on it for such critical elements as defense, public safety, education, as well as much of our transportation infrastructure. From an economics perspective, though, the public sector is almost totally dependent on the private sector for its funding. If the private sector is not healthy, tax revenue for the public sector dries up and the only way to finance public sector ... market trends, news research and surveys resources
Vlogger Sarah Austin Perfects the Work/Life Balance: One Seamlessly Feeds the ...
Not long ago I had lunch with the vlogger and lifecaster Sarah Austin. We ate on the patio at Aureole and not ten minutes in she asked if I we could shoot our interview for a reality show she is doing. She said she'd send me what she wanted to use before it went live and wouldn't ask for a release until I gave her approval. I agreed and she rolled tape. Looking back, I realize this is what Austin does. She turns her life into content. And at the same time she is reinventing not only what it means to be a media personality, but is also defining the concept of the individual being the new network. Austin hosts a weekly ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

How do I realistically estimate year one advertising income for a startup? What sources can I draw upon for comparison? What metrics can be used to build on income after the first year? I am going to be 18 in 30 days from now. I have just done an introduction course to computing and IT at College. They taught me how to use Dreamweaver and also gave me a better understanding of how to program computers. I am now going to do a business related course at college. I might want to attempt to become an internet entrepreneur. Do you think that I should ask for a copy of Dreamweaver web-design software for my Birthday to enable me to try and create my internet projects, and would it be worth it?
