I just got back a few days ago from a Fitness Internet Marketing Summit in Orlando and man….these guys are just killing it! They are so far ahead of the curve for the fitness industry and light years ahead of where the Martial Arts Industry is.  Anyway, I took almost three full legal pads full of notes on what these guys are doing in their fitness businesses in order to make 6 & 7 figures.  Many of which I’ve been using in my business for the last year – and I have to tell you, some of them will blow away the the current marketing model that the ‘Industry Experts’ have been feeding us. I don’t ... market research, surveys and trends

Deadly pocketknives become a $1 billion business
A decade ago, Jim Ray brought together a champion martial artist, a former Navy Seal and a police-weapons specialist to draft designs for what he hoped would be the perfect pocketknife. But the high-tech knives the team created were never meant to whittle sticks. Instead, the team produced knives whose blades could be flicked open with one finger faster than the widely outlawed switchblade -- but were still perfectly legal. "Nobody wanted to call it a weapon" at the start, says Mr. Ray, a former proprietor of a North Carolina tourist shop. But eventually, he adds, "that changed." And soon Mr. Ray and the ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

The Rematch is real relief from talk and only talk
The Juan Manuel Marquez-Juan Diaz sequel to the 2009 Fight of the Year on July 31 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay has a simple marketing label: The Rematch. Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya and CEO Richard Schaefer also could have called it The Relief. Let’s just say that Marquez-Diaz II and its compelling undercard are a timely refuge from talks – or whatever they were – for Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. A couple of testaments, old and new, could be filled with all that has been said, written, rumored, alleged and denied about a fight that has yet to happen and perhaps never will.
