What do you think should be a decent hike in salary when one ...
Flashback 2008: Depending on the industry one could expect 20-30% hike. Probably because the annual increment if one stayed back with present employer was 10-15%!! 2009 saw very little/conservative salary increments -and much lower lateral hiring. There are debated on what should be the increment policy for 2010- nominal hikes or one time bonuses for performers! Would low increments lead to more attrition? I like to believe at that incremental price points, one gets incremental value adds in terms of skills. At beyond 30% hikes, arent some aspirants 'outpricing' themselves when compared to their kind of talent available?
