(Yet.)  However, they are based on Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which declares false or deceptive advertising illegal.  So don’t take them lightly. If you’d like to read the Green Guides for yourself, you can do so here . Otherwise, read on for the quick ‘n’ easy ... market research, surveys and trends
the psychology and economics of green business
stood outside a Trader Joe’s near Stanford for more than an hour approaching shoppers who were leaving the store with reusable grocery bags. He gave them his business card and asked if he could call them later. These shoppers were trying to do their part to solve a big problem: Each year, retailers pay billions of dollars to supply customers with plastic bags that are littering the planet, killing marine life, and poisoning our food chain. Paper sacks also have costs, both monetary and environmental. But when Shiv called the shoppers later and asked if they had brought the bags with them on their next shopping trip, almost all ... market research, surveys and trends

and other measures to assess suppliers and products and, remarkably, the sun still rises in the East and sets in the West. As I stated in my analysis that day — July 16, 2009 — “there is both more and less going on here than meets the eye.” One year later, I’m sticking to that story. A brief review: Last summer, Walmart announced that it would assess its suppliers on environmental and social criteria. It announced a Sustainable Product Index to “establish a single source of data for evaluating the sustainability of products,” the company said. Walmart said it would introduce the initiative in three phases, ... industry trends, business articles and survey research

Final Four of Father Coughlin's Almost-Forgotten Sixteen ...
With a great deal of pressure now on for reform, writers like Joe Klein and Scott Horton are seeing Glenn Beck as a modern version of radio priest Father Coughlin, who had 40 million listeners when the U.S. only had 150 million population, and who FDR took off the air for taking an unfortunate turn into antisemitism and sympathy for European fascism.
