Hi! Having purchased many used items from Amazon Marketplace, eBay, HalfDotCom, and others, I am continually annoyed by some sellers’ definition of “like new”. Take the case of a DVD, for example. To me, “like-new” means that it is in the exact same condition as it came from the manufacturer; absolutely no nicks, scratches, or surface blemishes on the playing surfaces or graphics, and the paperwork has no creases, tears, or marks whatsoever. I have encountered sellers in the past that listed DVDs in “like-new” condition, only to find out that they only meant the disc would “play like new”. Sorry, but that definition is not ...
