there was a story on NPR about this. people actively noticed and complained that they hated the new packaging, and that they didn’t want to buy Tropicana in the ugly new carton. How funny that people were happy to say, “you’re marketing this to me wrong!” …it was a stupid move on Tropicana’s part, though. I mean, that package is awful. What irritates me is when companies change the packaging and then increase the price. This recently happened with my hair gel. I use a brand specific to my hair salon; they changed the bottle, but nothing else. The size and gel are the exact same. And, yet, ...

Marketing Warfare: Affliction vs. UFC, airing live July 19 - Josh ...
Can Affliction stakeholder Donald Trump (center) and top heavyweights Fedor Emelianenko (left) and Tim Sylvia draw more fans than the UFC on Saturday? More and more, mixed martial arts -- not boxing -- has sports fans asking, "Did you see the fight?" But after July 19, such an inquiry could have double meaning. Not only is Saturday marked with two top-notch events, but both are also marketing leverage opportunities for their respective promotions and partners. While there has always been, and will continue to be, competition between promoters, never before has the consumer, so often maligned in his or her own mind, had the power ... industry trends, business articles and survey research
Microsoft Xbox Live Sales Probably Topped $1 Billion - BusinessWeek
July 7 (Bloomberg) -- Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox Live online video-game service probably broke the $1 billion revenue mark for the first time in the year that just ended, helped by sales of movies, avatar accessories and extra game levels. Israel Activism, Social Media, and Israel Travel
— Yedida Freilich, a twenty-two-year-old music student in the West Bank settlement of Gush Etzion near Jerusalem, has composed a song that has become one of the latest viral sensation in the Jewish world. It slams the alleged international hypocrisy surrounding Middle Eastern politics, and anyone interested in Israel travel should find it interesting. Freilich’s parents moved to Israel from Australia, so she sings half in English and half in Hebrew. The song — a moving piano ballad — has Arabic, English, and Hebrew subtitles. Persuasion, Marketing, Advertising & Lobbying
We may wish to convince a person to adopt a particular point of view. This goal differs a bit from merely informing someone that a given possibility exists. But even in such informing, if the message isnt noticed or remembered at all, if there is no knowledge of the possibility, we might say we havent persuaded the person to pay enough attention to our message. Marketing We may use this term for steady, conscious attempts to increase the chance that someone has heard of our product. How To Deal With "Spiritual Warfare"? - Yahoo! Answers
I am a relatively new Christian and have been warned about this thing called 'spiritual warfare' From what I understand about it, I, as a Christian, will be the target of Satan's oppression from here on out. Some are targeted more than others, but it seems that no Christian may escape is part of the Christian experience...the fight of Good vs. Evil. I have read some Scriptures about it, notably in Ephesians and other places, about how to deal with it. But I would like to hear from some seasoned Christians on their thoughts about spiritual warfare and how I, as a new Christian, can deal with ...
