SLA in Virtual Worlds: SLA in Virtual Worlds Council 6 Month Report
The SLA Virtual Worlds Council was created in March 2009. President Gloria Zamora appointed the council with the following direction: Six members appointed for overlapping terms of two years each. The Advisory Council shall: 1. Recommend short and long-term direction for SLA’s presence as an association in virtual worlds. 2. Oversee SLA’s presence in virtual worlds. 3. I am not sure there are words to describe adequately the scenic beauty of Seattle and its surroundings. I think it is very much to your credit that you resisted the temptation of spending most of your time outdoors enjoying the spectacular views...and have taken advantage of the many outstanding sessions and networking opportunities available to you at this year's annual conference & INFO-EXPO. I was recently forwarded an article on modern day marketing by a professor at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - who is an M. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology and a post graduate in management from IIM. In its introduction the article ask a direct question “Who sells the largest number of cameras in India?” and goes on to answer “ Your guess is likely to be Sony, Canon or Nikon.
