Ask Boswell: Nats, Santan Moss's HGH trouble, Floyd Landis, Lance ...
Lots to talk about today. If you haven’t seen it, the Post now has multiple sources reporting that Santana Moss of the Redkins received HGH (against NFL rules) from Canadian doctor Anthony Galea who faces federal charges. Check our site. As to the supposed “ethical issues” surrounding players using HGH, it’s clear cut. If your league says it is against the rules, then it is — because they make the rules. If you break the rules, for whatever reason — to enhance erformane or heal an injury — you cheated. Also, Steven Strasburg pitched 6 1/3 shutout innings last night and struck out nine ... market research, surveys and trends

A bare majority of Americans give thumbs-up to President Obama's job performance, while Democrats and Republican run dead-even in voter preference, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll . CIF track and field: Defining the moment
"She wasn't looking like herself," says Golden Valley co-head coach Chris Evans. "She didn't have spring in her step. How she carried her body, her posture, nothing looked like Lauren." Hunched over on the fence surrounding the Golden Valley track, Lauren told her coaches why. She had suffered a concussion on a snowboarding trip the past weekend, an accident that was much more severe than she initially believed. As the dizziness and nausea set in, so did the reality of the situation: Hackney wasn't going to be running any time soon. At that point, it was hard to envision her competing for a CIF-Southern ... market trends, news research and surveys resources

Who can push me hardest? | Ask MetaFilter
1) I'm not really looking for anything in particular, just want to know what past research has said influences one's leanings. I was just thinking about it, and I assume there must be several but my (admittedly quick) search yielded nothing. Some possible ideas: income, type or possession of employment, religion, family members' views, friends/specific relatives' views, major catastrophes, feelings of faith or fear, what have you. 2) For a bonus, I'd like the widest variety of things or people that can influence you, by how much sway they have. 3) I'm looking primarily for some kind of research or ...
