First, thanks to all who sent an answer to my question about BoA/Countrywide and the short sale process. All answers were very educational. Now, I have a question about the Seller paying for closing costs. I've been told that it is perfectly acceptable to ask for the Seller to pay for 3% of the closing costs (3% of sales price) and to ask for the Seller to pay for all title related fees and the survey. Is this not reliable information? Is this incorrect? My realtor says I'm off my rocker and that in all his years he has never heard of such a thing. Am I completely crazy or is there merit to my asking for that amount ...
