What you say is definitely a problem. It is probably the big one for you from your perspective. But it's just a part of the overall problem. Marketing doesn't really listen to customers, but they sure talk about it alot. Often, the technical people don't listen to what marketing says and they almost never are in contact with customers directly which tends to minimize 'transmision errors'.
