We all have heard that as small business owners, we are all sales people. This is no doubt a fact when owning and operating a small business. As with any operational function, there should be some type of process or step by step way of doing it. I was recently approached by a company to assist them with their sales process. In the interview I uncovered that they were struggling with sales because they did not have a sales process defined. This company had one of the three owners dedicated to sales. The owner had sales experience, but was way over his head with this specific product and service. Every company needs to have a developed sales process and apply the sales process to every sale.
